This text was once a proposal of a strategy against cancer but it
evolved to become a mix of theories and actual methods.
There are many
kinds of cancer. One cancer itself has many stages. Roughly said, it
begins
by a single cell that proliferates anarchically due to DNA damage. This
cell is part of a given organ. It can be a liver cell, a kidney cell,
cartilage,
skin... This proliferation can become a tumor. A tumor is not very
dangerous
by itself, it is just a ball of flesh that grows and gets irrigated by
blood vessels. A tumor is harmful only when it becomes very big and
presses
against other organs. The tumor becomes a cancer when some cell inside
it begin to invade other tissue. The cancer grows inside the body like
a tree in the forest and replaces other tissue. If a cancer
that
emerged out of a cartilage cell encounters nerve cells, those nerve
cells
will be replaced by mad growing cartilage cells. Some strong tissues
halt
the cancer a while, other tissues are quickly "eaten away" and
replaced.
Once the cancer eats away the side of a big blood vessel and penetrates
inside it, some cancer cells will
be taken away by the blood flood towards other parts of the body. There
were the vessels narrow the cancer cells will be halted. They will
settle
and become another growing cancer. That way a cancer of liver cells can
begin to grow inside the lungs. Next target after the lungs will be the
brains. These are the metastasis.
Cells that go mad
and begin to proliferate are common inside the body. The DNA damage
that
makes cells become mad results from several causes : virus infection,
free
radicals (due to pollution, smoking, bad food, stress, injuries...),
radioactivity...
Normally, those cells are eliminated by the white cells of the immunity
system, like would be an infection. A Cancer grows freely when the
immunity
system considers it like part of the body and does not attack and
destroy
it away.
Some strategies
against cancer are the following :
Prevention. Avoid
everything that can lead to DNA damage. Avoid what can lead to a
depression
of the immunity system, like uncontrolled stress, food without vitamins
or with too much proteins.
Early warning.
If the mad cells are diagnosed when they are just a tumor, a little
ball isolated from the rest of the body, healing is easy : the tumor
has
just to be surgically removed.
Cut away every
part of the body that may contain a part of the growing cancer. This is
possible only in early stages of the cancer. Once the cancer begins
growing
and eating its way through vital organs, removing those organs would
kill
the patient.
Poison the whole
body by something that kills cells while they are splitting : some
chemicals
or gamma rays. Splitting cells are fragile. Damage to their DNA
structure
while it is duplicating will kill them. Cancer cells split very often
(this
is the way they proliferate and the cancer grows). By "poisoning" the
patient
regularly, say every week, every cancer cell will be hit at a moment
while
it is splitting. Other healthy cells will be hit too, making
the patient sick, yet the damage will be less than to the cancer cells,
because common cells duplicate less often. The healthy tissues that
will
be most hit are the skin and the intestines, because they constantly
produce
new cells. Brain cells, for example, will not be hit. Some recent
chemicals
are focussed on cancer cells and thus yield less problems. Some
methods,
like microwave molecular gates stimulation, can be used to increase the
absorption of chemicals by the cells of a given part of the body.
Make the immunity
system become less tolerant. This is for example the interferon
therapy.
The immunity system is driven mad by the administration of interferon
and
begins to attack the whole body. Yet the cancer cells will be attacked
even more than other cells. This is a very painful therapy because your
immunity system begins to fight against all possible menace even while
there is no menace at all. You get hay fever, influenza, bronchitis...
altogether. Some interferon therapy involve a specific training of the
immunity system against cancer cells.
Disallow blood
vessels formation, or destroy recent blood vessel. In order to survive,
cancer cells trigger a classic phenomenon inside the body: the
formation
of new blood vessels in order to bring oxygen and nutriments to every
place
in the body. When you heal from an injury, for example, after the wound
is closed by cells that proliferated to fill it back, little blood
vessels
will grow and come through the new cells in order to irrigate them.
Blood
vessels appear and grow to irrigate a cancer zone too, alas. Young
blood
vessels have some different structure from old vessels. Specific
chemicals
can be used to destroy them or disallow them from growing.
One therapy looks
like science-fiction : the patient is closed inside a perfectly dark
room
for two weeks. During the first days he is fed with a chemical that has
two properties : it settles preferably inside cancer cells and it burns
when it is hit by light. Next, after a few days the chemical is slowly
eliminated by the body, except from the cancer cells. Then a strong
beam
of light is directed towards the part of the body where the cancer is
located.
Psychology. In
some lucky cases, resolving psychological problems the patient has,
release
him from heavy stress or make him see life another way, seems to have
trigger
the immunity system to begin attack the cancer and destroy it on a few
months.
My proposal is the following :
Depress the immunity
system of the patient, with antihistaminic products, corticoids or some
of the recent products used to avoid transplantation rejects. If the
depression
is strong the patient must be closed inside the clean array of a
hospital.
Feed him during
a few days or weeks with a chemical that will be used by cells to build
their structure yet is strongly allergenic. Till every cancer cell that
split and grew is made of an important quantity of that chemical. The
chemical
can be chosen to aim the kind of cells the cancer is made of.
Stop feed the patient
with the chemical and wait till most of it is eliminated by the body,
except
from the walls of the cancer cells.
Stop the depression
of the immunity system. The immunity system will attack the cancer
cells
because they are made of that allergenic chemical and destroy them.
There are several
possible kinds of chemicals :
An organic substance
towards which the patient is naturally allergic, like some proteins or
pollen.
Classic substances
towards everybody is allergic. Like some poisons of plants or animals,
or products of the modern industry.
Proteins from animals, insects, fish, virus or bacterias. Those
proteins will be used by the cancer cells
to build themselves. Once the immunity system awakes back again it will
diagnosis an infection and launch an attack against those cells. I
can't say if it is best the immunity system was allready confronted to
those proteins or not. I suppose only one kind of protein should be
used.
A possibility for
the administration of chemicals to a cancer is to by-pass the blood
circulation
on the zone where the cancer grows. Suppose it is a breast cancer; a
little
surgical intervention, or maybe a simple pressure, allows to pinch
the main vessel that allows the blood to flow out of the breast region.
Two big needles are punctured : one inside the vessel that brings the
blood
towards the breast region and one inside that vessel that allows the
blood
to flow back away. The breast region is now autonomous from the rest of
the body. Artificial or natural blood can be send towards the breast by
one needle and be taken away by the other. An artificial lung, an
artificial
kidney and a nutriment perfusion can be used to keep the blood healthy
for several hours. Huge quantities of dangerous chemicals can then be
send
inside the breast without harm for the rest of the body. After several
hours the blood can be thrown away, filtered or replaced, the needles
can
be removed and the pinch released. The chemicals that will remain and
circulate
inside the rest of the body will be very diluted. This makes sense only
if one is sure cancer cells did not yet migrate inside the body. (Such
system can also be
used to preserve organs awaiting to be transplanted. They can be put
inside a
case with a little artificial lung, kidney and heart linked by silicon
tubes. For long-term preservation a piece of the liver of the patient
can be added.
A piece of real kidney and a piece of real lung can be used too, the
piece of lung
being inflated and deflated by a servomechanism. A reservoir of natural
or
artificial blood can be
used to slowly feed the artificial blood circuit, a little quantity of
blood from the
circuit is constantly being thrown away to evacuate unfiltered toxins
and
maintain ionic and hormonal
equilibrium. The whole is put inside physiologic liquid and an air
filter is used
to feed the piece of lung with clean and humid air. Probably the
temperature
should be higher than for short-term preservation. The pieces of
natural organs
need not to be from the same person or from a strictly compatible
donor.)
A wart is a most often benign tumor triggered by a papilloma virus. The
virus mutates cells from the body, which start growing a more or less
structured shape that will peel of and seed new warts. It seems that
lots of medicines against warts act by triggering a response of the
immune system. The wart gets attacked and dissolved by the immune
system rather than by the medicine itself. One medicine for example
contains lactic acid, which is a normal part of an inflammatory
response. I wonder if medicines that are effective against warts can be
injected inside or near cancerous tumors to trigger an immune reaction
against the cancer cells.
